Labor of love

Simplicity of operation was key to happiness in this retrofit project. Pete wanted to be sure his wife Sheri could listen to her favorite music, watch any of the TVs, and keep their two boys in line.

Pete is a perfectionist and the results show! He did the trim and shelves at the equipment rack and all the painting in the theater. They have slowly transformed the rest of the home with beautiful custom draperies from Trio Decor.

Budgets were tight as there was a lot to accomplish throughout the house. Because Derek Cowburn (DistinctAV) and Lynn Cowburn (Trio Decor) both had great solutions to offer Pete and Sheri, Pete had the following to say:

"Derek, the Cowburns have this much budget, if Lynn’s part gets bigger, yours gets smaller!" This is the classic His & Hers battle that occurs in almost every house but we play nice with Interior Designers so with a little creativity and and eye toward savings, we pulled it off nicely!
